Our priority is your comfort. We offer various pain-management options to ensure you are at ease. The tooth and surrounding area will be fully anesthetized.
A root canal can often be completed in a single visit. If the tooth is severely infected, we may place medication in the canals before completing the procedure in a subsequent visit. A temporary filling is used between treatments to keep the area sterile.
Post-treatment, you might experience some pain similar to what you felt before the procedure for about two days. Avoid chewing on that side of your mouth until tenderness subsides. Dr. Mariam will prescribe a final restoration, usually a crown, to protect the tooth.
